all things have been put on hold for a second.. i'm having to fix my main comp after it died..
EDIT: i think i may have that system back up and running soon.. i can't wait.. i've figured out the last few problems i had with how i was going to script what i wanted.. i can't wait to get this finished..

The Future of My Geoshell Skins

Ok, so before the settings started to move around for the .8 beta, I was working on a batch file that would chop up a single bitmap and spit it back out as a geoshell skin.
Once I got that working, I figured.. well, I'm too lazy to create .reg files on my own, so I added the generation of the .reg files to it..
And then i even added a bit that would create the first part of my screenshots that I use when i upload a skin..
But I was a bit narrow-sighted when i scripted it.. I knew it would be expandable to work for other skins beyond the one it was written around, but I didn't take certain elements of that flexibility in when i created it..

Geoshell 4.11.8 Beta Released!

ok, so the new beta of geoshell just came out.. this means something to the skins you will find in my gallery.
The sep.bmp and vsep.bmp files appear to have a 10 pixel wide limit i did not know they would have. I don't plan on making the images in my skins smaller right now as I am trying to get that limit removed.
Also, every "menu.reg" file included in any of my skins has now become broken, as these settings are now located under the "Menu Settings" key instead of the "Menu Colors" key. I am waiting to change these also, because I think I have put up a good statement on the board about how the new "Menu Settings" folder should be split

What's going on in this user page fellow themer. I guess we're currently the only active GeoShell skinners, yay.
Most of the long time users, like myself, only create skins for personal use.. as geoshell skins are very easy to make, it is actually more time consuming to polish and package a skin that it is to create it in the first place..
If it weren't for the fact that i'm trying to batch script most of the work involved, I don't know how active I would really be..
Oh, and if it weren't for the fact that I had a bunch of skins I released way back in the day that needed new hosting.. not to mention updating to the new skin standard (well, the dust hasn't settled yet.. not really.. I'm waiting for the next release.. the settings should be fairly stable for a while after that I'd imagine)..
